Frank Rimalovski

Frank Rimalovski, Partner, was a founder of New Venture Partners and has been a member of the core team since 1998, when he began as Director, responsible for developing spin-out ventures to commercialize software, digital media and networking innovations from Lucent's Bell Labs.  At New Venture Partners, he focuses on new investment opportunities in software, wireless, Internet and digital media.

Before joining Lucent, he spent six years in marketing, business development and product management roles with Sun Microsystems, Inc.'s JavaSoft unit, Apple Computer, Inc. and NeXT Computer, Inc. During this time, he led the definition, development and market introduction of several operating systems, development tools, and software products and technologies.

Previously, Frank co-founded the M&A practice at Rodman & Renshaw Inc., an investment bank focused on sell-side M&A assignments for mid-market companies. Prior to that he was an investment banker in the M&A group at Bear, Stearns & Co.

He is currently a director of iO Global Ltd., and a stealth-mode consumer Internet startup.  He has previously served as a director of Azure Solutions Ltd. (acquired by Subex Systems), Metrocommute LLC, Microwave Photonics Inc. (acquired by NextG Networks), NextG Networks, Inc.  and SavaJe Technologies, Inc. (acquired by Sun Microsystems).

Frank holds a BA, cum laude, in Economics from Tufts University and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
