Anton Arts, Partner, is a senior investment professional with extensive experience as a board member of a broad range of international technology companies in the start-up and development phase across Europe.
In June 2005, Anton joined New Venture Partners to identify and develop investment opportunities arising from New Venture Partner's relationship with Philips and other European corporate partners. In addition, he is an advisor to the municipal broadband initiative of the city of Amsterdam, Israel seed fund Cedar Funds and a Dutch wireless start-up. His areas of expertise include communication equipment, semiconductors, wireless, optical components, infrastructure software and other enabling technologies.
Before, he was a Partner at Gilde IT Fund, a leading international venture capital fund based in the Netherlands that he joined in 1997.
While there, he was responsible for twelve investments in technology companies across Europe, Israel and the United States. Exits include Cambridge Silicon Radio (Europe's most succesful technology IPO in 2004), No Wires Needed (acquired by Intersil) and SLP Infoware (acquired by Gemplus). Prior to that, Anton was involved in the full cycle of business building through to exit as the assistant to the CEO of Uniface, a Dutch software company that grew to 600 people before being acquired by Compuware Corporation.
He started his career as a business analyst at Gilde.
Mr. Arts has a business administration degree from Nyenrode University (Netherlands).
