Daniel Deeney Partner

Daniel J. Deeney, Partner, joined the Lucent New Ventures Group in 2000. Mr. Deeney focuses on the financial management of the investment portfolio, corporate finance activities and evaluating new investment opportunities.

Before joining Lucent, Mr. Deeney was senior manager of financial analysis at Venator Group, a Fortune 500 consumer goods and retail company, where he worked on acquisitions and divestitures. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Deeney was manager of financial analysis at Mobilemedia Communications Inc., a wireless network operator, where he played a key role in the firm’s IPO.

Mr. Deeney also spent two years as a senior accountant for Bank of America focused on commercial lending analysis. Mr. Deeney is currently a director of Evolved Networks Limited. Mr. Deeney is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS in Finance from San Diego State University, a MS in Management of Technology from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Moore Fellow, and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
