Jalak Jobanputra Principal

Jalak K. Jobanputra, Principal, joined New Ventures Partners in 2004. Previously, Ms. Jobanputra worked with Intel Capital, where she led and managed strategic investments in software, digital media and services companies.

Before joining Intel in 1999, Ms. Jobanputra worked at Broadview International in London, a boutique investment bank specializing in mid-market technology transactions. Previously, she worked as a Product Manager at an online financial services start-up, Horsesmouth LLC, in New York.

Prior to joining Horsesmouth in 1997, Ms. Jobanputra began her career as an investment banker with Lehman Brothers, where she focused on broadband, wireless and media company financings and M&A.

Ms. Jobanputra is currently a director of Procelerate Technologies and Real Time Content. She was previously a board observor of Extricity (sold to Peregrine) and Viacore (sold to IBM).

She holds a BS in Economics magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, a BA in Communications magna cum laude from the Annenberg School and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She lives in New York City and is a Trustee of the Board of the Achievement First Bushwick Charter School in Brooklyn as well as the Junior Board of Echoing Green, a nonprofit focused on funding social entrepreneurs worldwide.
